Rock Therapy is an independent contemporary rock/pop choir for age 18 and over.

Our aim is to offer exceptional training in all aspects of vocal technique, with an emphasis on emotional health and well being, but more importantly, having fun.

No musical experience needed but lots of enthusiasm required!

If you can handle turning off your mobile phone, switching off from the stresses of daily life, and wish to unwind in a comfortable relaxing environment; this is definitely the group for you.

Weekly sessions take place at Balloch Baptist Church, Wellside Road, Inverness, on Thursday evenings 7.30-8.45pm

Our band night is the last week of each term where we get the chance to sing our songs with our live Rock Therapy band.  Refreshments are also provided.

Through my own personal experience, and that of others, I have been priviledged to witness the great benefits that singing brings, physically, emotionaly and mentally.  Singing is without a doubt a wonderful stress management aid.

I am a retired Principal Teacher of Music with 30 years teaching experience.  I was also Faculty Head of Music & Art for several  years.

I am actively involved in local amateur theatre  and  have a vast experience coaching children and adults through musical theatre, and have been Musical Director for countless productions.

I am also an experienced Piano and Vocal tutor.

The joy music can bring to your life is boundless.

Having fun singing with others, taking time out for yourself and leaving the stresses of the day behind, learning new skills and building confidence, is what Rock Therapy is all about.

Anna Merrouni

My passion for music has taken me on many journeys both locally and overseas as a professional musician and Piano tutor.

I have worked with several amateur dramatic companies for many years and local festivals as Musical Director/vocal tutor, Accompanist and have created backing tracks for productions. I also play for private functions.

It has given me great satisfaction meeting and working with new people, helping and developing their musical talents to a higher level of achievement.

I have always found singing extremely therapeutic, enjoyable and an essential part of our well-being. Therefore I hope you will join us in our new and exciting journey into the realms of ‘Rock Therapy’.
